The Grand Ole Echo Americana and country music festival has kicked off it's season for the 6th time now. Join hundreds of folks as they gather in Echo Park now through September every Sunday night at 5:30. Relax out on the Ole Echo backporch and enjoy some good ole' fashioned BBQ and lemonade and listen to the acoustic sounds of country and folk music. Relax out on the Ole Echo back porch and enjoy some good ole' fashioned BBQ and lemonade while you listen to the acoustic sounds of country and folk music. Some of the best county bands in L.A. come out to party, dance and eat up the fixins. Local bands include Mike Stinson and former members of the Blasters, The Black Crowes, and members of Wilco. Located at 1822 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles in the Echo Park Neighborhood, the Grand Ole Echo offers artists from all over the southern California area including those right in L.A. Americana music is a combination of so many different kinds of music that you can usually find something to enjoy while visiting. Come every Sunday or just when it suits you. It's an early venue from 5:30 - 9pm every Sunday so come and have dinner and kick back to enjoy the sounds of the local country hills. The event is free and suitable for all ages. Costs for BBQ range from $5 - $12 depending on portion and choice. The following is the local line up through summer. More bands are sure to follow as we get a little closer toward the fall.
